What we expect of you

Now that you are participating in the free Share Academy course we have some important things we want to outline.

The course is provided for free and gives you the opportunity to get started with coding, and we hope it provides you with a new start personal or professional development.
The course is mostly self-paced. It is important that you are motivated and willing to learn and keep going, especially if you get frustrated. Don’t give up too easily.
Your mentor has volunteered to personally coach you. Please keep your mentor informed about your progress and any problems you encounter.
Please make sure you are present at your mentor meetings. If you can not attend the meeting make sure you notify your mentor as soon as possible.
If you miss three or more meetings with your mentor, we will make the assumption that you lack motivation, and will give another student the opportunity to do the course.
We want you to complete a minimum of two lessons of the Codecademy course each month.
Practice, practice, practice. This will be the most important thing to proceed and learn.
